oasis in a desert of...projects?

well, its been a shitty week, and all ive been doing is concentrating and making our cases for our strategic management subject.
and tonight is my only break. tonight i wanted to chillax. i wanted to do something that i knew would bring me close to bliss...so i went to my sweet haven. the place where i can kick back, relax and watch beautiful people flutter around with chatter like beautiful butterflies in a garden of glass and steel that is: Bo's Coffee Club.

this cozy cafe is in the heart of davao city, and is accesible to anyone quite easily. haha..im sort of a bo's groupie. i used to visit bo's everyday. their staff knows me..and they know me well..

when i come up to the bar, some of them dictate my usual order, asking if ill have the usual: caramello froccino, extra whipped cream (which they give me for free btw), extra saucer , a glass of water and an ashtray.

i usually just nod, when i dont feel adventurous. they know that i love my time-tested formula for relaxation: a cool glass of coffee and some cigars.

tonight though, as i approached the counter with el (my friend and classmate) i felt i needed to order something with less caffeine (since ive had trouble sleeping) and decided to order a green tea freeze instead. i love their green tea freeze.

as i indulged in sensless blabber with my equally senseless friend, mabel, and as i enjoyed the refereshing taste of green tea and ice on my tongue and the minty satisfaction my cigarettes gave off, i remembered something: i have never felt this way in a long time.

i havent felt as relaxed as i was in bo's.

as i asked the guard to purchase some more cigarettes from a nearby store, i remembered why i felll in love with the place.

bo's is great. they treat me like family. they go out of their way to make a connection and to preempt everything i would want. they dont just serve coffee, they give me a blissful oasis in the middle of, not only the bustling metro, but more importantly, bo's gives me an oasis, a safe haven, a place where i could be myself, in the middle of all the confusion in my life.

and that is why i have grown attached to this place. and that is in my own opinion, better than any other coffee experience in davao.

nothing..the world is filled wityh nothingness

indeed it is..

a few seconds ago i was trying to find something to write. something that would sound smart, something that would make other people think. but as i drifted in the solace of my own thoughts i realized i do not need to.

i do not need to impress anyone with my writing, because that isn't what im here for.

i realized that the blogs ive been posting these past few days, they are more of the "popular" version. Those blogs that we see as guilty pleasure. do you undesrstand me?
do you get what im saying?

i mean, those types of blogs are fabricated. those copy and pasted stories about celebrities and what not. i posted gthem because of one thing: i wanted to gain more views. and to do that, i need to post more popular people and articles.

but as i am writing this, i realize asomething: my bvlog, this blog, wasnt created to be that way. i wanted to create a blog to be reflective of my personality. i wanted a blog that would be for party-people. a fun blog. a fun loving blog even.

i wanted to create a blog that would allow people to shae amazing parties and great celebrations. and i realized this was not happening.

and i find it sad that i veered away from what i truly want to pursue. i find it difficult nowadays to write about partiers and my club-escapades. simply because i havent had any for the past two weeks. and this is very untypical of me. i am a partyphile. i live for the weekwends. my battlecry is techno music. that is who i am.

and in the midst of all this chaos i am currently getting from school..between al the cases, company anayses and other (seemingly) worthless projects...i think i have lost that self.

i am not sdaying this because i have stopped partying. i am more than the act of partying.

i lost my fun loving nature. i have ceaed to be free spirited. in these cases i make, i need to consult each one of my members before writing what i think i correct. i have thus lost my knack for independent thinking. and it is sad how soon i lost it..

stress is a bitch and i believe that..
but it used to be, i was the excemption to that rule..i was the one who could stay up for 48 hours with a catnap and a box of fries. that was me. the one who could finish projects and lear everything in a jiffy. the one who never got tired. i was the one who stayed up in a groupmates' home, making a case, for two days, with only 4 hour snaps and scghool as our "break" and i used to top it all off with that necessary saturday night out..wherein i would drink to my heart's content and go home drunk.

thast wa me..the zhaun ortega i know..
now..this stressed out freak..i dont know him..

and i hope that in the midst of all this confusion, i find my happy place in the simple things in life again: a chocolate bar from a friend. free cigarettes. a happy meal from mcdonalds. the smell of fried chicken filling up the house. or even just the sound of a ringing bell and me standing in front of an abandoned clasroom and hearing the words "classes are cancelled today" from behind me

bye bitches!

WOW PHILIPPINES!

here are some pics from the beautiful place called Badian, in Cebu. its great there...you dont even need to swim to access coral reefs, you just have to walk in the sand...

you start seeing coral reefs when you reach about three feet of water (during the low tide of course)

Victoria--not posh?

It seems Victoria Beckham and Mr. Blackwell have opposing definitions of posh.
The fashion maven's 48th Annual Worst Dressed Women List, released Tuesday, placed the Spice Girl at number one, a dishonor that was accompanied by this biting remark: "In one skinny-mini monstrosity after another, pouty Posh can really wreck-em."
Beckham wasn't the only pop star to feel the sting of Blackwell's criticism this year.
The self-appointed top gun of the fashion police was particularly hard on the stars of the music world in his top-10 list, also calling out Amy Winehouse (number two), Fergie (number four), Kelly Clarkson (number five), Avril Lavigne (number seven) and Jessica Simpson (number eight) for their various sartorial missteps.
"Exploding beehives above…tacky polka dots below…she's part '50s carhop horror," he said of Winehouse, while suggesting Lavigne was dressed "by the house of Dracula."
Coming in at number three was Mary-Kate OIsen, whom Blackwell described as resembling "a tattered toothpick trapped in a hurricane!"
Lindsay Lohan's rehab-chic look apparently did not meet with Blackwell's approval, as the actress made the list at number nine, accused of "tak[ing] fashion to a new low."
Not that Blackwell is entirely without compassion.
Britney Spears, who topped the list the last two years and came in at number seven in 2004, was given a pass this year, as Blackwell explained he felt it was "inappropriate at this time to make comment, when her personal life is in such upheaval."
Following suit, PETA also removed Spears from its ongoing Worst Dressed Celebrity poll, stating that recent events led the organization to believe "she might not be responsible for her actions—including bad fashion choices."
Another star to fall off Blackwell's radar was Paris Hilton, who shared the top spot with Spears last year and also topped the list in 2003.
In contrast, some of the ladies to earn kudos from Blackwell for their fashion moxie included Reese Witherspoon, Angelina Jolie, Cate Blanchett, Helen Mirren, Katie Holmes and Nicole Kidman.
Here's a complete list of the top 10 Worst Dressed Women of 2007:
Victoria Beckham
Amy Winehouse
Mary-Kate Olsen
Fergie
Kelly Clarkson
Eva Green
Avril Lavigne
Jessica Simpson
Lindsay Lohan

CHARICE PEMPENGCO INSTANT CELEB?

charice is the best. charice is the greatest filipina singer. charice this charice that...
we somehow look at this girl and think she's got it made. we think she is lucky....
but is charice pempengco an instant instant celebrity?

seems so..right?
actually, ive been following this talented girl's career since she joined that contest in ABS-CBN's defunct noon time show, MTB..

they were required to impersonate popular singers, and she did her version of "i will always love you" by whitney houston. she didn't win that competition.
she also joined little big star, another contest that gave her a little more prominence, and yet again, she faied to bag the title..

but she never gave up, and in a (seemingly) suddeen turn of events, she has gained international acclaim and she may be well on her way to be the first real international music artist from the philippines who is as mainstream as mariah or whitney or celine.

check out her performances in youtube..i must say though that her verison of i will survive is very very fresh and i think most poeple would agree with me..i wish she wouldn't shout as much as celine and mariah do..but..to each his own..right?

"Hairspray" and "No Country" win BIG!

SANTA MONICA, California — They came to walk the first major red carpet of the awards season, to catch up with friends, hope for a statue and maybe give a speech. But inevitably, the attendees of Monday's 13th Annual Critics' Choice Awards found their thoughts returning to the news that Sunday's Golden Globes have been effectively canceled.
"I'm sad," admitted Amanda Bynes, whose "Hairspray" has three Globe nominations, but no ceremony during which to receive them. "It's the first time I've ever been in a movie that's been nominated for any type of Golden Globe. I was definitely excited to go."
The breaking news yielded a respectful mood best summed up by Angelina Jolie, who stood alongside husband Brad Pitt on the carpet. "I support the writers," she told MTV News.
Once indoors, the attendees, including George Clooney, Sean Penn and Katie Holmes, were temporarily able to put the Globes cancellation — and expectations of a similar situation for the Oscars — out of their minds. The night's big winner was the intensely dark drama "No Country for Old Men," which took home trophies for Best Picture, Best Director (Joel and Ethan Coen) and Best Supporting Actor (Javier Bardem). "Hairspray" was also one of the evening's top picks, as the musical update of John Waters' cult classic danced away with awards for Best Acting Ensemble and Best Young Actress for newcomer Nikki Blonsky.
"I've never been nominated for anything, ever," gushed Blonsky, who was discovered by director Adam Shankman while making ice cream at Cold Stone Creamery, where she never even won employee of the month. "I didn't," she laughed. "But they gave me the keys to the store, if that means anything."
Once inside, the assembled stars sat at tables and shared laughs, much as they were scheduled to do Sunday at the Globes. But the presentation of awards, inevitably, was broken up by shout-outs to the striking writers.
"It would be great if the writers could return, and the critics [could] go on strike," Steve Zahn teased the night's voters.
"I decided, being a member in good standing, not to write a speech," grinned Don Cheadle, onstage to receive a lifetime-achievement award.
"They need to lock themselves in a room," George Clooney urged the writers and studio reps as he prepared to hand out an award, insisting he wouldn't cross any picket lines. "We want this to be finished."
The night's other winners included the old-school oil masterpiece "There Will Be Blood" (Best Composer, Best Actor for Daniel Day-Lewis), Best Actress winners Julie Christie ("Away from Her") and Amy Ryan ("Gone Baby Gone"), and "Enchanted" for Best Family Film. Often, the Critics' Choice Awards are indicative of the season's eventual Oscar winners, which would seem to spell good news for Christie, Ryan, Day-Lewis and the "No Country" gang, but might spoil the romance of "Atonement," which was nominated five times but left the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium without any hardware.
"I'm happy that people have been responding well to the film," Ellen Page, star of "Juno," said just moments before winning Best Comedy. "It is, of course, really exciting. And I'm really proud of it."
Unfortunately, it wasn't a night to be proud of Hollywood's slippery situation, as many of the stars received word of the Globes' transformation into a press conference just moments before they arrived.
"The whole thing feels wrong," Shankman sighed. "I have too many friends who worked too hard this year."
"It is what it is," Page cautioned, offering a counterpoint. "There are worse things in the world, and people are being hurt a lot worse than me because of the strike. I hope it gets resolved soon."
"Driving around today, it's so much more quiet," AnnaSophia Robb, the 14-year-old star of "Bridge to Terabithia," said of Hollywood's uneasy mood. "There are so many more reruns. I really want everyone to just come to an agreement."
Unless things change, the Critics' Choice Awards might be both the first and final full-fledged awards show of the season. With such urgency in mind, Hollywood's most unflappable rapper/actor strode down the red carpet offering advice for both sides of the dispute.
"Be like Snoop Dogg," urged the Doggfather, moments before he went in to present an award. "Write your own materials, and learn how to get paid without a strike."
Check out everything we've got on "No Country for Old Men," "Hairspray" and "There Will Be Blood."

wanna make money from blogs?

do you want to make money just from blogging?
here's how:

1st: click on the ads at the side of this blog. (very important.click as many times as you want, and try to look for sites that would really match your needs and would match your lifestyle. click ads that would lead you to sites that offer free blogs, or click ads that wopuld lead you to sites that would pay you just for answering surveys or trying new producta (and giving your comment) some other websites also offer these, but these ads from google are really reliable, so if you have to take my word for it, you click the ads at the side (and/or bottom) of this blog now)
2nd: from there, create a blog of your own
3rd: go to google ads and apply for advertisments on your blog site
4th: wait for their approval 9this may seem to be really tasking)
5th: create blogs that would attract traffic. this could be about anything really. as long as you have a passion for it and you would think it would draw people to your blog.
6th: add interesting tidbits in your blog everyday.something people would look forward to seeing each day
7th: wait for your paycheck.
8th: thank me

MARIAH--jealous biatch!

hahahaha..don't get me wrong..i lve mariah carey..but i think it's a little grandiose for her to wish to have something like this disabled man's voice machine...i mean..how diva-licious can you get???

but you know what? i think this was all a joke for her...since she's all crazy (in a good way) and stuff..if it isn't though..she should rot in hell...greed, aftyer all, is a deadly sin..but so is partying..and who's to stop us? right?

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Washington, Jan 6 (ANI): Mariah Carey has revealed that she would love to own a voice machine like British scientist Stephen Hawking - because she would like to give her wrist a rest.
The desire for the machine was brought about when the Hero hit maker, who has to rest her voice ahead of a concert, was forced to communicate through notes.
Mariah believes that the Hawking-style voice synthesizer would ease all of her writing problems.
“Before a big show I’m not allowed to speak for two days. Its boring writing notes, Contactmusic quoted her, as saying.
“I need Stephen Hawking’s voice machine so I think and it comes out in a robot voice,” she added.
Hawking has been using the synthesizer ever since he was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. (ANI)

and ive attached a pic of mariah looking less than fabulous (in my opinion) her boobs are friggin showing!

bye bitches!

christmas reunion with the phoukies

now you KNOW how filipinos get sentimental during the holidays...

somehow, people with icy hearts (like me) get warm and fuzzy feelings and would even *gasp* *gasp* join premature high school reunions.

you know, those reunions where only your closest friends are invited and what not...

of course, we had to go through with the traditional reunion dinner, this time it was at Boyd's Pizza Haus...for anybody who hasn't yet tried the pizza there..i am telling you they are absolutely yum-o!

and you know im not saying that because i get paid to..although id be interested to know if they would be open to the idea..haha

whatever.right?

anyways, after our dinner and drinks and of course, some bickering between myself and a bitch named vera).

we went on and partied the night away in wheels and more drive compound, owned by the bangayans, who are truly, truly wonderful people...

we decided to settle for "mint" this not so happening place..

so we got there..and right off the bat, ordered margaritas and red horse..

red horse is a beer made by the san miguel company..its like san miguel pilsen, but stronger..a lot stronger...

so drunk we got!

and then the real fun began...

we danced like there was no tomorrow...we drunk more margaritas and more beer..and we all in all, had a great time..

as if that wasn't enough, jake, a long time "bicker buddy" volunteered to take me home (and thank god for that, since i was drunk like shit) and i realized, we hadn't fought, or said anything foul to each other the whiole night...

and that was an acomplishment..

im going to post some pictures of my reunion with them phoukies (along with some other friends...some i dont even remember the names (that's how you know you had a great party)) so you can enjoy laughing at our drunk faces and what nots...

hmmm...

FYI most of my high school friends have moved out of davao to study and make a living for themselves in the capital city, manila...where there is more partying and whores as bountiful as books are in a library

bye bitches!

very first!

hey hey hey partyphiles of the world!

well..this is my very very very first blog post on this fabulous blog! hahaha..

i know, i know...

you are probably thinking:

"how is this different from all the other blogs i've seen in this twisted and crazy land caLLed the web?"

and the answer is simple: its made by me...the great zhaun ortega..hahaha

and im telling you that's good enough reason!

haha

well..let me first introduce myself..

i'm zhaun claude rosales ortega..nope..im not related to jericho rosales..im related, however to the ortega celebrities (fallen celebrities really) ..

well..im also related (distantly or otherwise) to lucy torres, ,julie yap daza's husband, gloria diaz' husband and mayor duterte from this little (umm..not really.. its actually the largest city in the world) city, where death squads shoot addicts and drug pushers, and there is an overflowing abundance of durians and pomelos and mangosteens....DAVAO City...

hahaha

you really must have to get to know davao city, since this is where most of my partying takes place (although i try to get a little action going from neighboring places too)

well, davao city, is not really the "hottest" place. it is not where clubs are very very rampant..

however..in true partyphile fashion...i make the most out of the experience and what is available..

that being said..ive had more than enough stories of how i live my crazy life...

some of you may be disssapointed (or not) to note though that i really do not intend on writing solely about parties and what not..i also intend on sharing everything about my life..since its one big party in itself..

as a student who knows how it feels to be really really really stressed out for school...i will give online tips for cheating..how to go about it..how to get through it without feeling guilty..and maybe you too, like i, may have great grades with minimum effort..

because isnt that what patrying is all about? getting great results with minimum effort?

on that note (before i give too much effort to this blog) im gonna leave you with my official sign off,

bye bitches!
